I am very passionate about running as well as helping people achieve their goals through healthy nutrition and the 2 of these things go hand in hand.
Over the years working as a professional nutritionist & sports nutritionist, I have realised that people often take up running with the intention of losing weight, or improving general health. However, without proper knowledge of nutrition these goals can be very difficult or even impossible to achieve. When it comes to weight loss, nutrition is the thing you should be focussing on. Exercise can just help to speed up the process and keep you motivated.
I am going to setting up a local running group in the Falkirk area to help you get started or progress your running journey and help you achieve your goals, with the added incentive of being led by a professional sports nutritionist. This will allow you to optimise optimise your diet whilst getting into running, which can be a very enjoyable and rewarding sport to be involved in.
I will be hosting nutrition workshops for group members as well as having a private Facebook group to help with accountability and making positive nutrition changes to smash your goals.
I have recently completed the Scottish Athletics Leadership in Running Fitness (LiRF) qualification and just waiting on the relevant license being finalised before I make the next step.
