With the popularity of "miracle diet solutions" on the increase, it is important that people are made aware that they are not all they make out to be and can be extremely dangerous to your health.
I have recently noticed a certain diet drop making its way around Facebook which claims to be an amazing new diet solution. You are meant to use it together with a heavily restricted 500 calorie diet! This is very dangerous!!!
The administrators of the group are constantly stating that their ingredients are 100% natural which a lot of people are appearing to fall into the trap of thinking this must mean it is good for you. This product is also imported from America and sold via independent resellers across the country... not from a reputable stockist!! It is also not regulated by the FDA (Food and Drug Administration).
For comparison your brain requires around 300 calories just to function properly at rest. Not to mention all of your other organs and body functions. It also claims to let you lose 1lb A DAY!!... The healthy fat loss rate is 1-2lbs a week. If you are losing 1lb a day it is very likely you are losing lean tissue (muscle).
There are so many of these kinds of diet solutions which claim to be the next best thing, however what people fail to understand time and time again is the dangers these things possess. By going on such a low calorie diet you will not only be breaking down muscle but you may also experience some of the following:-
- Difficulty concentrating
- Poor judgement
- Mood swings
- Cognitive declines
- Vitamin deficiencies
- Many other medical conditions
What these companies also fail to tell you is that once you have stopped using their product you are more than likely going to pile all the weight back on again plus more.
I thought I would post a comment to ask a few questions, stating I was a qualified nutritionist. My comment was deleted and I was banned from posting on the page within 3 minutes of posting. I think this says it all about the type of people that are running these companies.
If you want to lose weight there is no better any more natural way of doing it than a healthy balanced diet and exercise.
Again, please be careful, there are a lot of people out there who are just after your money and are not concerned about your health!
